Now you can get work done on your ride to work

The fit-PC Slim has been labeled the “smallest, most energy efficient PC available.” Weighing in at just 13 oz might make that a true statement. The unit is housed in a 330cc enclosure (4.3 x 3.9 x 1.2 inches); which you could probably cram in a jersey pocket. It draws a paltry 6 watts of power and like the Linutop 2, has a 500MHz AMD Geode processor. The device is availalbe in a few configurations:256MB of RAM (sans WiFi, hard drive) for $220; a 512MB WiFi version (with no hard drive) for $245; or go nuts with the 512MB / WiFi / 60GB hard disk version pre-installed with either Ubuntu or Windows XP Home SP3, for $295 or $335, respectively.

So now you have no excuse not to be connected to the internet and doing work at all times, but that begs the question: Where will you keep the monitor and keyboard?

All joking aside, this little device would probably come in handy for anyone doing any long distance riding that would need to use a computer or internet connection during their trip without too much of a weight penalty; especially compared to keeping a laptop with you.

Thanks Linux Devices!
